School Disco

On Friday we had the School Disco at Branston Intermediate.  It was great to see everyone all dressed up in their party clothes.  We all had a lot of fun.  Mrs Jones took our class teddy bear Digby so that we could dance with him.  There were drinks, lollies and light toys for sale.  We played some cool games, and teachers handed out prizes to the good dancers.
Here are a couple of our fantastic stories and some photos that Mrs Jones took.

I went to the disco and it was at Branston.  I did not dance with Digby.  I had a fizzy drink and my Mum took my drink home.  I had lollies.  I won a prize for the best dancing and I liked it.  I had a light toy and my Mum got everyone of the light toys.  I was happy.  My partner was Cameron.

At the disco I bought a light toy.  I had lollies.  I danced with Digby.  I played games then I danced with Tia and Alesha.  Then I went back home.

At the disco I bought chocolate and chips.  Then I sat down and ate my chips.  Then I played games like spin the bottle and we had to go to a corner and my team got chosen first.  I bought fizzy.  It was at Branston school.  I did not get to dance with Digby.  I liked dancing with Rykin.

Relating to Others

Today for Discovery our focus was “Relating to Others”

“What does that mean Room 1?”

That means:  working with other children, taking turns, working together, sharing and waiting for a turn at something.

The activities at Discovery today were: Jump Jam, Skipping, Ribbons, Puzzles, Blocks and Dress-ups.

We had lots of fun “relating to others” at Discovery.

Army Band Trip - Monday 22 August

On Monday I went to the Army Band to see What Now and their names are Gem and Camilla and Johnson.  My favourite thing is What Now.  I liked seeing Gem.  I saw a cowboy.  What Now is in New Zealand.  I saw George.  Camilla is a gorilla.  What Now is exciting.  Gem is cool.  Camilla has a boyfriend.  Camilla went all over the world.  It was special.  We went in the afternoon.  We came to school late.  We need to help Gem and Johnson to find Camilla.  Mrs Jones took pictures.  It was so fun.  I listened to the music.  I got a headache.

On Monday I went to the Army Band and we found Camilla and it was fun.  We went on the bus to get to South Hornby School.  We went home and told my Mummy all about it.  My favourite part was finding Camilla.

On Monday I went to the Army Band to see the Army Band and What Now.  My favourite part was Kung Fu Panda.  Then What Now lost Camilla.  She went all over the world.  She swam and climbed the hill.  Then they found Camilla.

We went to the Army Band.  It was funny.  It was so funny.  I laughed too loud.  By Jared     Yesterday we went to the Army Band and I saw What Now.  We saw Camilla the gorilla.  She went missing.  I like Johnson.  He is cool.  We saw George.  My favourite part was when Camilla got missing.  I liked the pirate and it was fun.  Camilla had a boyfriend.

3D Spider

Today Mrs Jones showed us a website with a real looking spider.  The spider moves around the computer screen and follows your mouse.  You can feed it insects by clicking the mouse or the space bar.  You can drag it around the screen by its legs - that's the bit that we laughed at the most.  It is funny to watch the spider spin around on the floor!!

Mermaid Sister

Today we read a story called "Mermaid Sister".  Here are some of our stories...

Shelly had a plan. She wrote a letter so she wanted to get a sister. She got a mermaid sister.

Shelly and Gordy went to the beach. Shelly had a new sister called Coral. Coral was a mermaid. Coral watched her own programme. She put salt in the bath and seaweed.

Shelly went to the beach with Gordy and Gordy is a pain. Shelly put a bottle in the sea and it had a note in it. Then they met up and they had brothers and they lived together.

Shelly and Gordy were brother and sister. Gordy was a pain in the patootie. The mermaid girl went to Gordy’s house and she watched her programme that was about sharks. She went into the bath. The mermaid put salt in the bath so it was like the sea.

She always wanted a sister and then they threw a bottle in the sea and then a mermaid found the bottle. Then she got out of the sea. Then she missed her family and the she found a bottle from her brother and then she was happy. Then he came and joined in their family.
